Bac Giang lychee harvest begins May 25—exports strengthened with 117 GlobalGAP-certified orchards
Bac Giang province in northern Vietnam began the early harvest of its 2026 lychee crop on May 25. Although poor weather cut output to about 95,000 tonnes, a certification framework of 204 ha under GlobalGAP and 16,000 ha under VietGAP strengthens high-quality exports to Japan and the EU.
