Acacia alone for 40 years: a Hue farmer is chosen as one of 96 nationwide
Do Viet Tuyen (born 1962), a forestry farmer in the Phu Bai area of Hue City, was chosen as a "2026 Vietnam Outstanding Farmer (40 Years of Doi Moi)" on the strength of 8 hectares of acacia forest alone. For an award given to only 96 people nationwide, it was neither large-scale fruit trees nor high-end aquaculture but short-rotation timber for paper raw material...
