Quitting celebration flowers for 1 million seedlings: a Quang Ngai origin that residents build
In Tu Mo Rong, Quang Ngai province (the former Kon Tum highlands), the budget for ceremonial celebratory flowers was converted into one million coffee seedlings distributed free to the Xo Dang people. It started on about 200 ha, with 1,000 ha of new planting targeted for 2030. We unpack this resident-led formation of a growing area from the perspective of Japanese roasters.
