It is the political, economic, and educational center of the Mekong Delta, home to Can Tho University (a hub of agricultural research) and a branch of IRRI (the International Rice Research Institute). The Cai Rang floating market is a world-famous tourist spot.<\/p>\n<p>Functioning as a collection and processing hub for agricultural products, rice-milling factories and pangasius processing factories are concentrated here.<\/p>\n<h2>Features of agriculture<\/h2>\n<p>Can Tho City's own farmland is limited, but it is extremely important as a hub for rice milling and export. Raw rice gathered from the Mekong Delta provinces is milled, quality-inspected, packaged, and exported in Can Tho.
