This distinctive climate suits grape cultivation, making it Vietnam's only commercial grape-growing region. It is also an area where Cham culture remains strong.<\/p>\n<p>In recent years, pilot projects combining solar power and farming (\"solar sharing\") have been carried out, and the province is establishing itself as a leader in dryland agriculture.<\/p>\n<h2>Features of agriculture<\/h2>\n<p>Grape growing is a symbol of Ninh Thuan province. The cultivated area is about 1,200 hectares, with annual output of about 25,000 tonnes. Varieties such as Red Cardinal are grown, used both for fresh eating and for winemaking. They are also supplied as the raw material for the Vietnamese wine \"Vang \u0110\u00e0 L\u1ea1t.\"<\/p>\n<p>Drought-resistant Ninh Thuan garlic is also famous and holds a GI registration.
