Located at the confluence of the Red River and the Black River (Da River), it is an agricultural region blessed with fertile soil. It is known as a tea-producing area on par with Thai Nguyen, and the tea from the Ha Hoa district in particular is highly regarded for its quality.<\/p>\n<h2>Features of agriculture<\/h2>\n<p>Tea cultivation is one of the pillars of Phu Tho's agriculture. The tea-garden area is about 16,000 hectares, producing both green tea and black tea. The Phu Tho Tea Research Institute, established during the period of British governance, is the technical hub of Vietnam's tea industry.
